When JavaMania last increased prices in mid-2022, we made a commitment to freeze prices til the end of 2023. We did that through:
- Negotiating large raw coffee contracts, keeping our biggest cost (raw coffee) tightly controlled.
- Looking closely at how we did our work and streamlining it as much as we can while still keeping the business person-based. (Every coffee bean roasted and packed at JavaMania is still done by a real, live human!)
- Focusing on doing what we do best - coffee - and eliminating services and products that distracted us from our main goal.
Due to raw coffee costs and Illinois regulatory changes (SB 0208, HB 2901) we will be increasing our prices for 2024. These will be the only changes for the next 12 months and hopefully beyond, as the regulatory changes are a significant but one-time modification to our cost structure. The price adjustment will be range from 2.5% to 6%, with the greatest impact being on Fair Trade Organic coffees. The new prices will be visible on the wholesale site (www.javamania.coffee) on 1/1/2024.
We understand the effect price increases can have on our customers and this was a difficult decision to make.
