Covid and rapid inflation have given us good opportunities to pause and think about who JavaMania is and who we want to be to our customers. For the past two years, we’ve focused heavily on strengthening and building JavaMania’s core business of wholesale coffee roasting. We also realized that we carried many products and services that ultimately distracted from that core business. This blog piece discusses all of the enhancements and changes beginning in 2023 that will help us provide the best coffee and tea to you.
Price Freeze for 2023
Our last price increase was in July 2022. We are pleased to announce that we are freezing all coffee prices for the entire year of 2023. By locking in long-term contracts on raw coffee from all over the globe, as well as supporting items like packaging, we’ve protected ourselves from our major areas of inflation exposure. It seems only fair that we extend that protection to our wholesale customers as well! No action required – you’ll see the pricing in your online account.
Custom Retail Labelling
To support in-store sales, we now provide customized retail labelling for our wholesale customers, including 12 ounce bags and K Cups, at no additional charge. If you would like to change the labelling you currently receive on your orders, please send an email to info@javamania.com and we’ll work with you on the new designs!
Tea Provider Change
We are switching our tea provider to Royal Tea New York. There are numerous reasons but most of all because they provide an excellent product, reliable inventory supply and a slightly lower price point. The new teas will be available online on January 1st. Interested in a sampler? Just order one and we’ll get it right out to you!
Equipment Placement and Service Changes
Coffee brewing equipment has traditionally been placed by coffee wholesalers “at no cost” to the customer. It isn’t free, of course – the cost of the equipment and service calls is bundled into the cost of the coffee. The customer has no choice but to pay the higher price, even if they take good care of the equipment and rarely need service or replacements.
Starting January 1, you’ll be able to buy new premium Bunn brewers and grinders at dramatic discounts using your Bean Counter rewards points. You will be able to choose whether to apply your points to new equipment or to discounts on coffee and tea. And better yet, you now own your own equipment! You can see the equipment available here.
The trade-off is that JavaMania will no longer be servicing or swapping out equipment. We will work with you to make this transition as smooth as possible; none of this matters if you aren't successful!
If you have existing equipment on site that is either placed by or leased from JavaMania, you will receive a separate email communication by January 2nd regarding next steps for service and ownership.

Discontinued Items
In line with focusing on our core business, we are discontinuing non-core products that can be purchased at a lower cost online (we’re looking at you, www.webstaurantstore.com.) The discontinued products include:
- Syrups
- Sauces
- Powders
- Concentrates (Juices, Smoothies, Chai Tea)

Updated Mailing Address
Our mailing address has changed to:
We’re still physically located in Loves Park but are switching over to a secure mailbox service. While we’ll still receive mail at the old address, we ask you to update your records as soon as possible.
Deliveries, Pickups and Shipping
Schedules have shifted a lot over the past 2.5 years, so we’d like to recap where we are at the end of 2022:
- Local wholesale deliveries occur every Tuesday and Friday
- Shipping orders are roasted and shipped daily.
- We no longer permit pickups at the roastery.
